Installation

Installation to an existing Renegade FDS is a simple process.

If you are using the installer:

1. Shut down your FDS.
2. Run the installer. It will try to find your Renegade FDS installation; if it picks up the wrong folder, simply correct it and click Next.
3. Edit the configuration file, which can be found at 'cfg/biatch/main.ini' within your Renegade FDS folder.
4. Start your FDS back up.
5. Verify that BIATCH was installed properly by looking for a line in the console that says the BIATCH version number.

If you are using the .zip package:

1. Shut down your FDS.
2. Rename the 'mss32.dll' file in your Renegade Server folder to 'mss32.dll.bak'.
3. Unzip the provided .zip file to your Renegade Server folder (the one with 'server.dat' in it). Make sure that biatch.dll winds up in the same folder as server.dat, or else BIATCH will not load at all.
4. Edit the configuration file, which can be found at 'cfg/biatch/main.ini' within your Renegade FDS folder.
5. Start your FDS back up.
6. Verify that BIATCH was installed properly by looking for a line in the console that says the BIATCH version number.

Note: BIATCH will only run on the Windows FDS at this time.
