About BlackIntel

Welcome to BlackIntel, home of the BlackIntel servers, coders and of course clan. Our goal is to provide a nice place to stay and hang around for everyone. We currently offer a variety of games, including C&C Renegade, Battlefield 2142 mod: First Strike, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Mound and Blade: Warband.

If you like our servers, you might want to consider to join our clan. We're a nice clan and are usually not too serious in life. :) We play for fun mostly, although sometimes a serious clanwar can be really entertaining as well. If you feel the same you should really check out the clan section of your favourite game here!

This site is also a place where server owners can get support on our C&C Renegade software or can show their appreciation. As you can see on the projects page we have a couple of coding projects running regarding Renegade. We hope you like them!

Dave4989

Posted on 27 Sep 2006 by EvilWhiteDragon
We have removed Dave4989 from the moderator list since he appearently is too busy with his own community. We're sorry we had to do it this way, but we never see him on irc anymore, while he was there like always.
He has been and good mod though, and I hope that he will continiue to visit the site and our forums.

BHS partnership and rules page

Posted on 24 Sep 2006 by StealthEye
First of all, we should have posted this earlier, sorry for that.

BHS and BI have agreed on some kind of partnership. Basically both will still exist, but the BlackIntel members will also be part of BHS. We will be sharing knowledge and code for example, and will not fix the same bugs/do the same stuff, which would be useless. ;)
BlackIntel will still exist as server hosting and serverside modding team, but most fixes and improvements will probably be released though BHS, because there will be a greater audience, so more people would benefit.
See also the Announcing: Blackhand Studios / BlackIntel Partnership Agreement topic on renforums.

We have also added a new page with the server rules and moderator guidelines.

We are also really close to start using the next version of our scripts.dll, it will have some nice improvements to the command replies, and has several design limitations solved. It will be updated the next time the server restarts, which we preferably do when it's empty.
Then also will our new moderators have their ingame moderator status. I have finally made the moderators configurable, so they can be changed without having to rebuild the scripts.dll and restart the server. ;)

[Update] Website Problems.

Posted on 14 Sep 2006 by EvilWhiteDragon
We're currently experiencing some problems with our forum, and we are low on diskspace so in oder to fix it we needed to temporarily remove the movies. As soon everything is fixed we will update this newspost.

Update:
We moved to a new host as you can see, and hope this will atleast solve the frequency of our site being not reachable. We've fixed the forums too so you can post again ;)

Moderators

Last week eagleyeu, eaglewar0 and sayownded joined the team as moderators. Their new status will be updated in the next scripts.dll update, which might have some other nice things in it, which need some more testing.
I which them good luck and a lot of fun while moderating our servers :).

We are currently updating some pages on the website, the mod info and mod future were seriously outdated, but should be updated now. ;)

We've been doing some research on how to prevent/block/detect cheating, so there are not that many new features being worked on, but we're doing some interesting stuff nonetheless. ;)
