About BlackIntel

Welcome to BlackIntel, home of the BlackIntel servers, coders and of course clan. Our goal is to provide a nice place to stay and hang around for everyone. We currently offer a variety of games, including C&C Renegade, Battlefield 2142 mod: First Strike, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Mound and Blade: Warband.

If you like our servers, you might want to consider to join our clan. We're a nice clan and are usually not too serious in life. :) We play for fun mostly, although sometimes a serious clanwar can be really entertaining as well. If you feel the same you should really check out the clan section of your favourite game here!

This site is also a place where server owners can get support on our C&C Renegade software or can show their appreciation. As you can see on the projects page we have a couple of coding projects running regarding Renegade. We hope you like them!

BlackIntel2 revived!

Posted on 22 Jul 2007 by EvilWhiteDragon
Today we finally revived BlackIntel2, our second renegade server. We had planned to do this before (this is also the reason it went down), but now it's finally done!
What we did is turning it into an OldSkool Snipe server. This because we will be one of the first servers on the list, and thus have a reasonable chance to make it popular.
We will share this server with TheKOSs2 which will mean that some rules will be a bit different. Mainly being that we will not tolerate swearing at all. Yes, that is different then normal, but mostly the swearing ends in insulting and flames anyway. At this moment we don't have a swearbot set up and we hope that will not be neccesary either. If needed it will be ran on the sniper server.

Server update (extra info)

Posted on 29 Jun 2007 by EvilWhiteDragon
As you know we updated the server a couple of days back. I made some pictures both at the datacenter and at home. You can clearly see our new scsi card and (not so clearly) our 3 harddrives.

Server downtime

Posted on 25 Jun 2007 by StealthEye
Yesterday windows gave some annoying error messages after installing two disks on our dedicated server. Today we have been able to fix it. (Well, it magically started worked again...)
Additionally our IRC server decided to break today, so irc.blackintel.net has been down for some time too, we are not sure what went wrong currently, however whatever it was, it's fixed, because IRC is working fine again.

Sorry for the one day downtime, hopefully the new disks will improve performance though.

BIATCH v1.1 RC1 released

Posted on 13 May 2007 by EvilWhiteDragon
We hereby release BIATCH 1.1 RC1.

It contains various updates, here are some important ones:
- AntiAimbot was updated to counter the updated *cough* antiantiaimbot. (unfortunately, this does still not fully block aimbots)
- Added AntiBigHead feature. Still needs some testing, so it currently only writes to a log file so you know who you should check on bighead.
- Added protection to huge network holes. It was possible to al sorts of nasty stuff, which will be impossible with this update.
- Added SBBO at netcode level (lower level then SSAOW does at the moment) limited at 56K. This will probably be configurable in 1.1 final.
- Changed the logfile directories, and we hope other mods (like SSAOW) are going to use this too, to make everything more clear.

More information can be found in the changelog in the documentation.

We need feedback on the ABH, this means that if someone shows up in the logs as using BH, then you need to test him to be sure, and after that, send the results to us. Tell us if he was actually using BH at that time, or that he wasn't. This so we can determine what would be a suitable action on BH detection. This may vary form just blocking that damage or banning/kicking the one using BH.

Special thanks to Neku for help on the AntiBigHead stuff.
